La Orotava

Get directions

Situated in the shadow of Mount Teide, Tenerife's active volcano, is the little village of La Orotava. La Orotava’s fertile farmlands have afforded it great wealth and beauty. Grapes are a main crop of the surrounding countryside, so wine-tasting is a popular activity for those visiting this quaint town. Also of interest are the many former mansions and beautiful churches - many of which date back centuries. La Orotava’s landscape, architecture and culture have even landed it an official declaration as a Site of National Historic and Artistic Interest.
