About Rimini

Rimini is a city of roughly 150,000 people on Adriatic coast in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. It’s best known for its beaches, whose white sand and shallow water make an excellent place to enjoy the sun and waves. The nightlife in Rimini is renowned, as well, especially the nightclubs up and down the beach. Like most Italian cities, Rimini has its share of archaeological sites. The Malatestiano Temple serves as a mausoleum for local nobility Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta. Though originally a Franciscan church, it was reconstructed into its current form in the 15th century. The medieval fortress Castel Sismondo is another top attraction, and often used to host cultural events. Rimini is a popular tourist destination for young people from Italy and around the world. It’s one of Europe’s oldest seaside resorts and the oldest on the Adriatic Sea. It started as a therapeutic destination in the 1840s, becoming a luxury vacation destination in the late 19th century and evolving into its current identity as a destination for middle-class families after World War II.
